OCTOBER is Here! We Need PUMPKINS!!! So, We took the Boys back to the Apple Orchard for more picking this weekend! They just enjoy it so much and it gets us out and about on a beautiful Fall Day!

The Boys decided it was time to chose a pumpkin... but I do have to say that the pumpkin patch was kind of slim...

Finally time to pick the APPLES! Ok, Daddy, Up the HILL!!!

Are We There Yet????? Jebby has just about given up on finding the apples...

Let the Picking Begin...

Jebby says, Heck with this picking, I'll just EAT!!!

We could go Apple Picking Everyday! We have so much and nothing is better than running around eating APPLES!!

Future Drum Major?!?!

William helping direct the UVA marching band at yesterdays game! His dancing has become a very important part of his day! We always play music and dance and on Tuesdays and Thursdays he has me drive him super fast to "play school" so he doesn't miss the dancing! It isn't even an uncommon sight for William bust into some dance moves at anytime! Maybe we should be exploring more of that instead of playing soccer!!! :o)

Teeth Protector!!!

Big John, Mamaw Lee, and Little John came over this weekend to play and watch football. After visiting with Big John and Little John this weekend, William decided he needed a teeth protector like Little John. William originally thought all the football players had pacifiers in while playing. Once he learned that they had mouth guards and not pacifiers he decided he needed one... So off to Dick's Sporting Goods he and his Daddy go and return with his teeth protector!!!

Daddy fitting William with his new teeth protector!

Williams best Grid-Iron Growl!!!! Intimidating???? He might need some work on that...

Please Feed The ANIMALS!!!

We took the Ballard Boys to Natural Bridge, VA to check out the Safari Zoo! It is a drive thru zoo where they give you buckets of food to feed the animals as you drive by! You feed Llamas, Camels, Deer, Elk...did I mention Llamas??? This was By FAR the most HILARIOUS thing we have ever done! William was, of course, not interested in feeding them but he cheered Daddy on while he fed and played in the buckets! James screamed, surprise, every time an animal would appear at his window!! Jason and I could barely talk we were laughing so hard! From the 8 Llamas that attacked Jason's bucket to the Camel who ate mine after I ran out of food, I recommend this to EVERYONE who needs a laugh!
Everything started out tame and rather civilized.... Very polite Llamas...

Then the Camel Took my BUCKET!!

A Little Camel Kisses for Everyone!

Then the Rocky Mountain Elks got GREEDY!

You BETTER FEED ME!

Our Soccer Player!!

William started JAG Soccer last night! Which is a league sponsored by the JAG School which is a noncompetitive league. The teams just practice twice a week and have "games" on Sat, but I don't think they keep track of what the score is or who wins... Which we thought was fabulous for William, well... you all know how well swimming went!
But to our Surprise and Amazement William LOVED it! He ran over and joined his Team and practiced and played with them the WHOLE HOUR!! He was Listening to the Coaches and Following Directions and kicking that ball All Over the FIELD!!! SERIOUSLY, we were shocked too!! So Sorry in advance for all the pictures, there were tons more, but we were just so amazed that he was out there! ;o)

William Goes to PreSchool!!

William started First Presbyterian PreSchool this morning! He goes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am until 12pm. Everyone was a little nervous this morning but we arrived early to get acquainted and not make everyone feel rushed.

Outside to check the weather...

A few token First Day pictures...

William walking in with Daddy in the rain...

Big Man on Campus on the way to his classroom...

William waited patiently outside his classroom for his day to begin! (His name tag and hook is right above him)

Ballard is first and William was quite excited to get the first hook!

Jeb and William waiting patiently for the teachers to open the class door...

William in line to go into class!

The little girl in front of us actually got upset and that made William nervous! So the teacher took the little girl and asked me to bring William in to put his fish up. He picked up his fish and put it on the attendance chart and off to the train set he marched! I asked him if it was ok if I left for awhile so he could play with the other boys and girls... He said Yes! So I left...
When we picked William up he was excited to see us and told us he had fun! He told us they read Cat in the Hat, ate a snack (gold fish and raisins) and danced to music! All in all, I think Success!!! (Huge Sigh of Relief!) :o)
