Easter Sunday

William and James were lucky enough to have Mamaw Lee, Big John, Buddy, and Megan visit for Easter! Minus the severe storms and tornadoes, we had a blast! Here are some highlights from William's Easter Egg Hunt that took place in between Tornado Warnings!

William and Daddy decorated our Easter Eggs last night! After a little instruction reading, they had a fun time!

Earth Day Experiment

William and James went to City Hall to get their free tree for Earth Day to plant in their yard. It wasn't really what we expected... Upon arrival we didn't see any trees, so we asked the Ranger where the trees were and he stated right here. He turned around and this is what we saw...

William and James were so lucky though, we thought we were limited to one tree and turns out we go 5 redbud trees and 8 white furs!

That is as far as his patients would last. Once the boys went down for their "naps" I had to hurry up and go out and plant the rest before the roots dried out!

**UPDATE ON TREES: Two days later...Daddy has already run over one Redbud and two White Furs. Not sure how long they will last!

Willie's FISH!!!

Mr. Doug hooked Willie's pole up with a bobber and a hook last night! We added one worm and he caught a FISH! Everyone was so excited except Willie! That is until he saw how excited we were! Still refusing to hold the pole with the wiggly fish on it he stood with Daddy so we had a picture to show Mr. Doug!

On a sad note, Fisherman Daddy couldn't get the hook out and when he put the fish back in to see if it was even alive it yanked the pole and took the hook with it! Poor Fish!!

Ok, so it's only Mac and Cheese and Green Beans...but I had to boil the water! And I can't get William to eat Mac and Cheese to save his life!

1 Fish, 2 Fish ... No Fish...

William tried out the ol' fishing pole today. Even though he has the casting down, he couldn't seem to catch a thing! He was quite frustrated and I didn't have the heart to tell him he needed a hook and not a rubber tire on the end of the pole to catch anything! Hey, I had to protect James's eyes!
